80% of Black Haircare Products cause cancer?

Hi Guys,

I was inspired to film some facts surrounding the fact the recent headline that detailed: 80% of the haircare products marketed to black women cause cancer?  If you live in the UK, you may have seen the BBC1 news report early in May, that highlighted the scary truth about haircare products created for black women, men and children!

As root2tip, are conscious manufacturers, we are committed to making clean products that love your hair and improve hair health, as opposed to mass produced cosmetics filled with synthetic chemicals, known to cause endocrine disruptions in the body.

You may be using products right now, that contain ingredients such as ‘Parabens, Pthalates, Siloxanes, BHT, MIT and more!  Is the danger really that bad?? That is a personal choice you have to make for yourself. However, as soon as I imagine a hair product sinking into my bloodstream and interfering with the way my hormones work in my body, or even worse my children, I am running for the hills!

I created Root2tip for my daughter years ago as I could find nothing to maintain her hair that was chemical free!! I recall seeing a product called Baby Don’t Bald!' in my local Paks in 2011, I could not believe this product made for babies, contained PLACENTA!! I decided to research this further and uncovered a report that detailed, hormones in haircare products may well start early puberty in your little girl!!

STOP AND THINK!

As we care for our children’s hair we need to research what the ingredients are. At Root2tip we have a children haircare range, we are working on making even more natural for you.

Our products are 95-100% natural and are designed to improve the health of your hair. Each product we have created has been formulated by myself, in my kitchen. I am committed to clean beauty products, we source our palm fruit from sustainable sources, we stay away from parabens, silicones, phthalates and other known toxins, as we believe what you put in your hair, should be great for your skin also! I shudder at the thought of massaging ignorantly, toxin laid products into my scalp!
