Sunkissed hair? I think not! Tips to keep your hair protected this summer

Sunkissed hair? I think not! Tips to keep your hair protected this summer

I hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the summer! This season we are working on bringing more insightful content to you. It's no secret that, a key part of Root2Tip is a passion for educating people about natural hair care, through Hairducation. So, we are releasing regular posts, dedicated to providing you with tips about how to maintain your treasured tresses! This week we touch on sun protection...

  1. Sun hats are a must! - Ensure you bring one on your holidays. There is a range of trendy styles, still worthy of your holiday snaps.
  2. UVA/B Protective Products - The sun gives off rays that can damage your hair if not carefully protected. Products like Shea Butter (Spf 6) and Raspberry Oil (28) can help act as a natural shield for your hair against harmful rays. Our best-selling Original Honey Rain JuiceLeave-In Conditioner is great for sun protection and hydration. It's a win-win!
  3. Deep Condition frequently - A good deep conditioner will strengthen strands before they see the sunrise! Our Triple Protein Strengthening Hair Mask includes Silk, Wheat and Henna hydrolysed protein extracts, protecting your hair from the inside out. Co-washing also hydrates. Our Comb-Out Cowash doubles up as a leave-in and bathes your strands in moisture before being rinsed.
  4.  Moisturise (of course!) - After bathing in the sun for a while, immerse your strands with a light, but intense moisturiser. Our Quench My Thirst Creme and Triple M Milk do a great job of this.

We hope you find these tips handy! Afro's are definitely fun for the sun, but we also need healthy hair season-to-season.
